About this role
Portion, prepare, and serve meals for residents, follow diet restrictions and food-safety guidelines, keep the kitchen and dining areas clean, and handle meal-ticket transactions.
What you'll do
- Set up dining rooms and trays for meal service.
- Serve portioned food according to diet restrictions.
- Deliver trays, carts, floor stock, and nourishments.
- Wash dishes, pots, and pans and complete general cleaning.
- Perform kitchen duties such as cleaning worktables and refrigerators, sweeping and mopping floors, and distributing supplies.
- Assist with tray and food preparation.
- Operate and sanitize equipment following state and federal sanitation regulations.
- Complete meal-ticket transactions and reconcile receipts daily for the business office.
What you'll need
- Basic math skills
- Effective communication skills
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Food service experience preferred
- Successful Minnesota DHS background study
Organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions, and the ability to follow facility policy and all federal and state regulations.
